KOSGEA President Floyd Moore purchased 100' of a turkey shed in Bently, Kansas and donated it to KOSGEA. It had to be taken down by Febraury, so knowing the Kansas weather it was decided to setup some dates to go to Bently and dismantle the shed. It was decided to meet in Benlty on Saturday, November 12th, 2005 at 8:00am to start on the tear down. Thirteen club members signed up and thirty-three total workers showed up to help. This was a great twist. The day started out overcast and very, very windy. This did not stop the workers from starting on the dismantling of the shed. It took at least two-four members handling the roofing tin because the wind was so strong. Workers also chased down the build insulation, which blew across the neighboring field. Workers took a break for lunch at noon. This included BBQ Pork on a bun and chips served by Linda Keasling & Louise Underwood, homemade stew from Jerry & Carolyn Wilson, homemade cakes from Alice Lemmons & Joyce Brookings, homemade banana bread from Carolyn Wilson, coffee and tea. Then everyone went back to work and before dark the shed was totally down and loaded on the member's trailers that were used.
